When can my kitten leave? Kittens will be ready for their new homes at 12 weeks. Americans are slow growers and need time to develop good social skills through play with their littermates and mother. We also like for them to wean themselves before leaving. This makes for a better well adjusted cat.

What comes with the kitten?   Kittens are sold with: health checkup by our vet, vaccinations, health records, and written contract.

Health guarantee:
Because our American Shorthair cats are of such high quality we provide each new owner with a written thirty-day health guarantee.  

Why don’t you spay / neuter kittens before they leave? Our vet does not recommend early spay / neuter for health reasons and we agree. That is why we trust our buyers to abide by the contract and spay / neuter their kitten by six months. No papers will be given until we receive proof of spay / neuter.

How much can I expect to pay?  The price for a pet quality kitten is usually $650. This price includes: $100 for the Health Exam, Vaccines & De-worming. A kitten can be reserved for a $100 deposit. Kitten reservations will be on a first come first serve basis from receipt of deposit.

*If a deposit is not received, there is no guarantee of receiving a kitten.
* We reserve the right to refuse to sell kittens to anyone for any reason.

How do I chose a kitten if I can’t come there? If you are not able to visit the cattery then we will send pictures of each kitten that is available for you to choose from. We will also supply you with information about the personality of each kitten to help make the perfect match. We want our babies to have permanent homes.

Do you ship? Yes, we ship both domestically and Internationally. Of course we would like to meet all potential pet owners, but we understand that this is not always possible. Shipping arrangements will be made during the purchasing process. Often times we can make arrangements to meet at a local show for delivery. Shipping is not included in the price of the kitten. A health certificate and kennel are also needed for shipping. We prefer to ship with Delta and have had wonderful results using them.

Our Expectations:
-All Kittens must be spayed/neutered by six months and they will be current on vaccinations before going to new homes.
-The Cat must not be sold, leased or given away to any pet shop, research laboratory or similar facility.
-It is our intent to find permanent placement. However, we understand that things happen in life.  If the buyer can no longer keep a cat, we will be notified and given first right of taking the cat back.
-The Cat will be kept indoor at all times unless it is in a carrier or on a leash with an adult present.
-If there are other cats in the buyer's household, the cat must be quarantined until the buyer's veterinarian verifies the cat is in good health within 72 hours; otherwise the health guarantee is null and void.
- We use and recommend Premium Edge Cat Food.

Personal Touch: We like to stay in touch with new owners and encourage you to send us notes and pictures as your kitten grows up. We are also available to answer any questions you have about your new kitten or cat.
